FCB-VALENCIA (2-1): Heroic comeback

It was great game? Well don't ask me, I missed the GAME because of personal stuff but the most important thing is that our boys won!

They trained a bit before game:

And game of course! Goals by Iniesta and Puyol (Puyol: "I dedicate the goal to my girlfriend."- awwww how cute) :)

More great photos:

Pep's words of wisdom after game:
Guardiola: "Problems in home games? I prefer to play at home, I feel safer and more protected here."
"I didn't reproach the players anything during half-time, I just told them they should try to keep the ball."
"This was the same game as last year: first half for them, second half we were better."
"It's good to see Iniesta now scores more, not only with Spain but also with us."
"Busquets knows how to read a game but he can't do it alone. Keita was impressive today."
"Xavi was good but we should be careful. We'll see if he can play this week."

Offside:

Right after final whistle Dani and Vincente had argument. Than Valencia player Vicente waited for Alves in the player's tunnel. People had to separate them.
Dani Alves: "Yeah, Vicente was waiting for me, people had to calm him down. But it was nothing bad, those things happen."

Iniesta on Facebook:
"Very happy with the win and be able to score with a goal. It was a very important game and we have taken the 3 points. Thinking about the Champions! Thanks to all!" and he posted this photo:

Luis Enrique’s Barcelona B picked up their fourth away point in the Catalan derby thanks to an excellent first half performance and a goal from Nolito.

Preparing for game, socios issue and new website

Let's start with controvesial issue that is main topic among cules: Jordi Cardoner, the FC Barcelona vice-president for the social area, has announced changes to the club members' admission process that will include the regulation of the season ticket waiting list at Camp Nou. I'm not an expert so I encourage you to read great article writen by Amanda on totalbarca.com (click to read)

ok so now let's concentrate on football:)

Puyol met with media on Thursday and said "In the treble season we did not start very well either," he explained. "I have confidence in the team. We have no doubts and we are ready. I hope that we can rediscover our confidence and change the dynamics. It is always good to record a win."
(more here)

And there was training too! Twenty players were present at the session, with Villa and Xavi making progress in their recoveries, Pedro still working on the sidelines, and Thiago once again joining the first team to train.

At the end of training, some representatives of the Special Olympics to be held in Figueres in late October were able to watch the first team training and were also able to greet their idols, take pictures with them and even pick up some tips on playing with the ball. An experience they will never forget.

Friday:

Xavi Hernández, David Villa and Pedro all returned to full training on Friday as the squad continued their preparations for the weekend visit of Valencia. Guardiola had 19 first-team players at his disposal for the training session and they were joined by young Thiago Alcántara. Barça take on league leaders Valencia in Camp Nou at 20:00 on Saturday. Before the encounter with Valencia the Barça squad will train at 11:30 in Camp Nou in a behind-closed-doors session.

Photos from training:

And as before every game, Pep met with press:

Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Valencia ahead of their visit to Camp Nou on Saturday, but warned the league leaders that David Villa will have no qualms about scoring against the club that he left in the summer.(more details here)

Did you notice that FCb official site changed a bit?

Remeber photo from Barca B-Numancia game (26th of September)? (That one with Pep and Tito as supporters). Today I came across photo from this game again, but this time with one more supporter, well little, cute supporter to tell you the truth! It's Pep's son Marius.

Lionel Messi, the reigning FIFA World Player of the Year, gave the starting signal for the new election of the FIFA/FIFPro World XI on Friday. The Barcelona attacker was the first player to fill in his ballot paper at the Juan Gamper training complex. Many thousands of fellow players will follow his example in the coming weeks. After casting his vote, Messi said that it was the fact that the players themselves choose the World XI which made his selection extra special. "Being chosen by my fellow players means a great deal to me," he said. Also Busquets and Villa voted too, as a members of the group of more than 50,000 professional footballers who can vote. It is estimated that in previous years, about 23,000 players voted.
