The striker Bojan Krkic is the winner of Barça Veterans 2010.
The striker has been elected through a voting process via the Internet from three candidates chosen by a jury ( www.premifairplay.cat received 5,237 votes from 18 June to 29 July). Bojan gained 36.1 per cent of votes (1890), Carles Puyol 35.6 (1867) and Lionel Messi 28.3 (1480). Krkic will receive the award, a sculpture created by Agustin Puig, during ceremony in September.
Jury decided about candidacy for Bojan, for many reasons which include: playing a lot games, fair play and respect to opponents, his priority to build good athmosphere with the team, his close relations to the Barca fans.
What is Barca Veterans?
The ‘Agrupació Barça Veterans’ (ABV) was founded in 1959 with the main aim of helping former players that, having retired from professional football, had not made a success of their new profession.
At present, the association has 800 members, the majority of whom are former players from the entire range of Club sports sections. The rest of the membership is made up of Barca fans who wish to help the development of the association.
