Sunday&Monday summary

Let's start with Andres Iniesta and his facebook, on Saturday evening he wrote:

"Returning home after losing our first game at the Camp Nou. This defeat hurts us, we must work to be more prepared and remain confident. Now think about Tuesday's game."

And now some Sunday's news:
At 11.00 the 18 players available took to the pitch and split into two groups. The stars that played for more than 45 minutes against Hércules did some recovery work with Gerard Piqué and Maxwell among them, despite the former requiring six stitches and the latter suffering a wrist injury in the game. On Monday there was training (in the afternoon) of course and press conferences (Pep and Andres),

Andres: “We will need to charge are batteries and have the right heads for such an important match … the Champions League is a very demanding competition and you pay the price for any mistakes”. (read more)

Pep: "it is impossible to doubt these players. We could have the worst season possible, but I would still have my faith in them. The other day I didn’t make their job easy for them” (more here)

There was a guest during training session on Monday with - the former Barcelona's player Javi Moreno invited by David Villa. Moreno and Villa played together for Zaragoza in the 2004/05 season.

And last preparations

Other news:
The Camp Nou pitch is not in the best of condition, and so Barça opted to hold their Monday training session at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to thus help support the treatment programme. Josep Guardiola said that “there are some great professionals looking after the turf … not only are there high temperatures but there are also external factors that make it harder to maintain the pitch”.
