The second training session of the day on Monday evening was much more intresting than morning one, mainly because of newly arrived Eric Abidal. The French international joined the rest of the squad and as we expected there was a lot of fun.
Pep Guardiola spent some time talking to Abidal at the beginning of the session with both men in evident good humour.
Apart from Abidal, the training session featured the same 27 players that took part in the morning session. The usual routine was modified to include an entertaining possession exercise – a good way to lighten the load of a day with a double training session.
The squad will be back at work on Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock for the first of two sessions.
