Thursday&Friday with FCB

Are you ready for tomorrow? I mean the game? I hope so! Take a look how our team prepared to Supercopa. Game will start at 8:30 PM(local time)

The Blaugrana boss has utilised many of the rising starlets throughout the pre-season, but they are now required by B side boss Luis Enrique for a game against Sabadell at 20:00 in the Miniestadi on Thursday evening. Andreu Fontàs, Víctor Vázquez and Oier Olázabal have remained with the first team squad, however. That has meant that 27 players participated in training on the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper complex with 22 first-teamers and five youngsters.

Goalkeeper José Manuel Pinto rejoined the squad after working alone for the past few day.

After the usual warm-up exercises the squad was Split into two groups- One worked on tactics and strategy the other worked on attacking play with shots at goal, crosses and one-against-one’s being the order of the day.





After training session Gerard Pique spoke with press.“We all came back with a good level of fitness and are in great condition,” he said and added that "To play an international and then play so soon after would mean recharging very quickly,” (if you want to read more click here)

Friday:

The first team squad continued to prepare for the clash against Seville on Saturday, with 22 players, including fit again Pinto, plus five from the Barca B team training at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning.








After trainig session Pep Guardiola met with journalists. Guardiola reckons his World Cup winning players are “more prepared” than they were a week ago and believes his team can come from 3-1 down to take the Spanish Super Cup. The boss also refused to rule out that more new signings could be on their way. (click here to read more)


Blaugrana stars invite us to Gamper Trophy game next week, Barca TV made nice spot,


The president Sandro Rosell has invited the former president Joan Laporta to the Joan Gamper Trophy game (to watch from Presidential Box) and to participate in the ceremony of the La Liga trophy in 2009/10.

Barça's rival in the Spanish Supercup, Sevilla trained on Friday afternoon at Miniestadi.

Other news:
There are some changes at Miniestadi (stadium which is home to FC Barcelona B, FCB's reserve team, and Juvenil A.) There are some improvements works at media and medical area (including doping control room), as wel as in changing rooms.




Regal Barça (basketball team) passed medical tests and trained together for first time this season.
